Latest Menopause News

Menopause generally occurs between the ages of 45 to 55 in women.  As the ovaries gradually cease egg production, periods become less regular before stopping altogether.  Sex hormone levels (predominantly oestrogen and progesterone) also fall.  Symptoms such as hot flushes and mood swings are commonplace. The fall in oestogen can be atributed to an increased risk of hear disease and osteoporosis. Other symptoms can include weight gain, skin changes, night sweats and lower libido.

All of the above sound symptoms sound quite distressing but don't despair, this site will address many of the issues facing women going through menopause as well as provide solutions to some of the symptoms that you may be experiencing. Come back often for the latest news and research.
